BLOWFLY [rogue] series are wines that for one reason or another defied labels. They hid from audits, missed exports or just took their damn time to mature. We release them now donning original artwork commissioned from Sharon Greenstreet Art to celebrate the glorious subjectivity of taste in the guise of the beautifully grotesque/grotesquely beautiful... blowfly.the chambourcin (with a small violet halo) from the Black Lagoon! like much of the 2006 vintage this wine takes its time to emerge. but then it does so with a heady herbaceous nose joined by marshmallow, musk, & strawberry.
bright cherries, mandarin, & liquorice soften to expose spice & red apple with a chewy candy texture that tingles the tongue like sherbet.
break all the rules & try pairing with an Indian curry, a seafood marinara, or even a cheesecake.
