BLOWFLY [rogue] series are wines that for one reason or another defied labels. They hid from audits, missed exports or just took their damn time to mature. We release them now donning original artwork commissioned from Sharon Greenstreet Art to celebrate the glorious subjectivity of taste in the guise of the beautifully grotesque/grotesquely beautiful... blowfly.

These three wines embody the intensity that came with the 2005/6 seasons. 2005 was a year in which our vineyard was struck by a category F2 tornado which caused over 80% crop damage. The result in that year was an extremely restricted yield with bold, rich fruit characters. The succeeding 2006 season was a warm recovery year which again yielded fruit with unusual intensity.
